This is a great deal and the D7 is an amazing camera. The two included lenses are great value as well, and the whole deal is a fantastic starting point for the more discerning amateur photographer/semi-pro. The excitement with the excellent quality camera was a bit offset by the low quality bag and some other accessories - not need to include these, really, whoever has the money to buy a D7 will also be able to afford a good quality bag.However, all in all, go for it!

I brought this Product like a week back its pretty good cam. I rate cam 5 star but accessories Like Filter tripod cleaning kit and remote looks like cheap quality probably this is my first cam kit I brought I feel so, I haven't seen any cam kit before... Received the tripod yesterday, after mounting my JVC Gy-HD100 I noticed I could feel a vibration with my left hand on the legs when I paned the head left and right. It is like I can feel a bad ball bearing grinding or something. Being new to the under $1k tripod market I was not sure if this was a defect or simply what I get in an inexpensive tripod. After searching the net I found nothing stating that anyone is having this problem so I called the manufacture and was told that some defective 504HD heads had hit the market. Unclear if this means just a few or all or what? Mafrotto was very helpful and offered to exchange the head but informed me it would take a little time as the new 504 shipment was being tested for this same issue stated above and would not have a head to replace mine with immediately. I may just be forced to return it and go with another brand. I thought I would like to give it a 2nd try as I still think it may be the best choice in this price range? I like the look of the 504HD and the feel is OK except for the grinding noted above. I like the extra 3/8" taps on the side of the 504 so I can mount my firestore hard drive and such and get it off the top of my cam. I found it odd that I ordered this setup with the bottom spreader and it actually came with both the mid spreader installed on the tripod and a bottom spreader in the box. This was a nice surprise as I had a hard time making up my mind what spreader to go with and none of the pictures on the net…

We take sports photos (football). this camera is great!! it takes great action photos. the 55-300 lens is great to get close up shots from half way across the field. the 18-55 lens takes very nice close ups. the 32GB card gives me 6 thousand pics at a setting of fine/ large jpg files that is about 4mb per pic. even though you can get everything in the bag it is too small and it will be the first thing that i replace. the wide angle add on lense does work but i have not had much time to work with it. however the 2x telephoto add on lense hooked to the 55-300 lens makes the camera unable to auto focus and even on manual pics are foggy. All other items in this kit work like i would expect them too. all in all i love the camera and the two nikon lenses. I would suggest the d5100 and the two nikon lenses to anyone who wants a good nikon

All items we're true and exact as described by the seller. All were functioning.. lenses, camera, tripod, chargers, memory card, batteries and the battery grip. A very great deal.but then 1 hour after, the BG's buttons were not functioning anymore. I don't know what happened. I tried to remove the battery grip and put it back it on but it's still the same, although the battery grip's purpose to supply added power still works. I guess I have to stick with this for the meantime.Everything else is perfectly fine, for now.Update: they replaced the battery grip and its perfectly working.Update: The bag gave up, ripped off on sides, and the tripod isn't very sturdy and balanced.

This was a great purchase. After reading some of the reviews before buying, I was already prepared for the "cheap" accessories that came along with the camera. Not bad though. The camera and the two kit lenses were perfect. The only items that I was really actually surprised about were the two tripods. The "Table Tripod" is really tiny, but I have actually found good use for it. The regular tripod is smaller than an average tripod, so consider buying a good quality one later.Everything else was just as expected and was able to put everything to use.Also, came very fast and was packaged well.Thanks!

And chances are if you are considering this tripod you're fairly familiar with them anyway.For those new to tripods however, I do have one piece of advice (gained from experience). Everyone seems to follow the same pattern when it comes to tripods and camera bags (myself included). We all start by trying to save money and look for the bargain, only to be disappointed several times before finally breaking down and buying the "best". The old adage "you get what you pay for" has been around throughout time for a reason. If quality is important to you, just save yourself considerable time and money - buy this tripod first (and maybe a good Gitzo CF monopod as well) and be done with it!If I were to come up with one criticism, it's that Gitzo CF tripods don't come with the foam "leg warmers" like so many others. Gitzo sells a set separately, but I tried them and they are, well, junk (and expensive junk to boot - probably not really made by Gitzo either). So you are left to try a third party solution, or kludge something up from materials at the local hardware store. All in all though a minor point considering the overall quality of the tripod itself.
